The capital city of UAE, Abu Dhabi has witnessed rapid economic development and urbanization, making it a major political, cultural, and commercial centre. The unique grid shell that covers the hotel's two towers features a spectacular lighting system and over 5000 diamond-shaped colour changing glass panels that produce stunning optical effects. This dune-shaped structure was designed by London's acclaimed firm Fosters and Partners, and has the privilege of hosting some of the country's most important exhibitions and cultural events. No trip to Abu Dhabi is complete without a visit to the modern day challenger to Italy's famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Capital Gate on Khaleej Al Arabi Street, has been certified by Guinness World Records as the 'World's Furthest Leaning Man-Made Tower'. Leaning at 18° westwards, more than four times that of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Capital Gate is a sight to behold.
